Dr. Marianna Obrist is a Lecturer in Interaction Design at the University of Sussex, in the Department for Informatics, after she spent two years as a Marie Curie Post-Doc Fellow at Culture Lab at Newcastle University, UK. Previously, Marianna was Assistant Professor in the HCI & Usability Unit of the ICT&S Center at the University of Salzburg, Austria. The focal point of her research is to create a rich and systematic understanding on users experiences with interactive technologies. Recently she investigates the design spectrum for touch, taste, and smell experiences for interactive technologies. Dr. Pablo Cesar leads the Distributed and Interactive Systems group at CWI (The National Research Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science in the Netherlands). He has (co)-authored over 50 articles about multimedia systems and infrastructures, social media sharing, interactive media, multimedia content modelling, and user interaction. He has given tutorials about multimedia systems in prestigious conferences such as ACM Multimedia, CHI, and the WWW conference.


Santosh Basapur is a Lecturer and Planning Coordinator for Human Factors and Systems Design at IIT’s Institute of Design in Chicago. Prior to this he was at Motorola Mobility’s Applied Research Center as Principal Staff UX Researcher. Santosh has actively taught and  practiced user research and UX design for over 10+ years. His recent research is in interactive media experiences on TV, Tablets and Smartphones. The application domains for these experiences have been versatile such as Mobile Wellness, Social Media Apps and Interactive TV entertainment. He has published and presented at international conferences like CHI, HFES, Euro-iTV, DIS, IASDR, Design & Emotion, HCII, and Pervasive Health. More info: www.linkedin.com/in/santoshbasapur/
